Portable power station sizing planner

Build a multi-device plan, check a candidate station three different ways, and see what changes when optional loads are removed.

Loads, station and solar assumptions

Use nameplate values as a starting point and measured watts when available. Every percentage remains editable.

1. Device loads

Startup watts must be at least running watts. Duty cycle is the share of the entered daily hours when the device is actually drawing its running power.

2. Battery target

These are planning assumptions, not chemistry presets. Replace them with manufacturer or measured information.

3. Candidate station

Use values from the exact output mode you plan to use. AC and DC paths can have different limits and losses.

4. Solar replenishment

Peak sun hours are not daylight hours. Use a conservative local, seasonal value and include shading, temperature and conversion losses in the total efficiency.
